Introduction

Building a sale transaction is similar to using a shopping cart on the Internet, items are added to the basket before selling the items (checkout).

The Sell/Discard Stock area contains a list of the items currently in the basket.

Step 1 - Add Item(s) to Basket

  • Open the Stock Manager and press List Items (or use the filters or search item number to find the items required).
  • Highlight and item in the list (or Ctrl+click to select multiple items).
  • Press the Add Selected Items to Sell List toolbar button.

Item numbers can also be added directly using the Add Item by Number toolbar button in the Sell/Discard Stock area.

Step 2 - Sell Items in the Basket

  • Goto the Sell/Discard Stock area.
  • Check that the desired items are in the Sell/Discard List.
  • Click the Sell/Discard Items Now toolbar button.

Step 3 - Create Invoice

Although optional, an invoice is recommended for all sales to record each sale properly in the database. Any Gift Aided items must be invoiced when sold so that their sale price and date is recorded.

If no invoice is required press the No Invoice Required button (bottom right) and skip this step.

  • If an address is required, add an invoice address by pressing the Change button in the Invoice Address box.
  • To copy the Invoice Address to the Delivery Address press the right arrow button between the address boxes.
  • If any of the items are not priced or require discounting highlight each affected line in the list and press Edit (or double click the line) to amend the details.
  • Once all of the invoice's information is correct press either the Save and Print or Save button.

Step 4 - Book Delivery

After creating the sale's invoice a delivery drop can be booked.

  • If a delivery is not required check the Delivery not required box and press OK.
  • To arrange a new delivery drop check the Deliver using new drop box and press OK.

If Deliver using new drop was selected the drop summary will be displayed, check that the Date, Time Slot and Van are all correct and press Save to complete the sale.
