The first time the software is run a prompt asks whether to create or connect to an existing database on another computer.

Note
If you are upgrading from Palace Stock Tracker 1 select No and point the Server Data Root to your Palace Stock Tracker 1 folder (or a copy of).

Palace Stock Tracker 2 will take of copy of the Palace Stock Tracker 1 database, the original database will still work with Palace Stock Tracker 1.

Yes creates a new empty database on the local computer (this is intended for a single user or as the first user on a network). After the database is created enter your company's information (this can be done or changed at any time).

No connects to an existing database either on the local computer or on a network share. Use the the Browse button or enter a path to an existing folder on the network containing the database.
